BYD Dolphin claims Company Vehicle Overall Car of the Year Award

News

The BYD Dolphin claimed both the Overall Car of the Year award, and the Electric Vehicle of the Year category award in the 2023 Company Vehicle Magazine, Company Vehicle of the Year Awards.

This is the first year the Overall award has been given to an all-electric car and it is unlikely to be the last.

The judges commented “Dolphin’s inherent drivability – a collective term to describe handling, acceleration, ease of manoeuvrability, chassis dynamics, as well as noise, vibration, and harshness characteristics – is matched by BYD’s ability to produce an EV which anyone can drive. This broadens the Dolphin’s appeal as a company vehicle which can serve as a pool car, a rep’s car or even a management car, all from just one model.

Other category winners were:

  • Compact/Small Business Car of the Year 2023 Honda Jazz
  • Medium/Large Business Car of the Year 2023 Opel Astra GSe
  • Electric Vehicle of the Year 2023 BYD Dolphin
  • Executive Car of the Year 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300
  • Compact SUV of the Year 2023 Suzuki Vitara Hybrid
  • Medium SUV of the Year 2023 Honda ZR-V
  • Ute of the Year 2023 Volkswagen Amarok
  • Van of the Year 2023 Peugeot e-Partner

Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s NZ Company Vehicle awards.
